Rebecca Danton is a psedonym of prolific romance author Janet Louise Roberts. It is one of the several pen names she used.

Born in New Britain Connecticut on January 20, 1925, she was the daughter of conservative Christian missionaries. Her novel's overt sexualty were quite shocking to mid 1900's sensibilities.  

 

She wrote contemporary, historical and gothic romances, as well as occult horror.

 

She used pen names to avoid embarrassing her family.
